Official: Underground Gas Storage Plays Vital Role in Iran’s Energy Needs

Natural gas storage plays a prominent role in security of country energy needs, managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Hamidreza Araqi said.

Addressing the International Seminar of Working Committee 2 (WOC2) of the IGU, Araqi said the fast growing use of gas, as one of the important source of energy and latest developments in the energy sector represent growth in natural gas demand among the most countries in the world.

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, he said that the membership of Iran in IGU pave the way for NIGC’s interaction with other companies which are active in gas industry.

First conference on Working Committee 2 (WOC2) of the International Gas Union (IGU) kicked off here hosted by National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).
