Offshore rig count goes down again

After dropping by five units last week, according to Baker Hughes’ latest rig count reports, the number of offshore rigs has dropped once again. 

BHI Rig Count: U.S. -28 to 709 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 28 rigs from last week to 709, with oil rigs down 21 to 524, and gas rigs down 7 to 185.

U.S. Rig Count is down 1,184 rigs from last year at 1,893, with oil rigs down 1,022, gas rigs down 161, and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore rig count is 23, down 2 rigs from last week, and down 37 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada -3 to 174 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 3 rigs from last week to 174, with oil rigs down 4 to 73, and gas rigs up 1 to 101.

Canadian Rig Count is down 257 rigs from last year at 431, with oil rigs down 142, and gas rigs down 115.
