Oil & Gas UK’s Efficiency Task Force adds trio to steering group

Efficiency Task Force (ETF) of Oil & Gas UK (OGUK), a trade association for the UK offshore oil and gas industry, has appointed three new members to its steering group.

OGUK said that it appointed the director of oilfield equipment at Baker Hughes GE Romain Chambault, non-operated ventures director at Chrysaor Steve Cox, and managing director of Carjon-NRG Colin Black to its steering group.

The company added that the group would look to build on increased engagement with more ‘efficiency champions’ this year. It will also work across the supply chain to expand opportunities, ultimately helping to achieve the industry’s shared ambition – Vision 2035.

Mariesha Jaffray, OGUK’s continuous improvement manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome Romain, Steve, and Colin to the ETF steering group and know that they will each provide valuable insight and contribute to what we are trying to achieve long-term.

“The key to our success is strong leadership from the steering group, together with support from Oil & Gas UK board members and industry efficiency champions who are engaged in ongoing activities.”

The ETF is the first of its kind for any oil and gas province, aligning with all industry initiatives efforts. It is one of the six MER UK (Maximizing Economic Recovery) task forces under the MER UK Forum, bringing together government, industry, and the OGA to drive collective action on key priorities.
