Oman Shipping Company Adds New LPG Carrier GAS ELIXIR to Its Fleet

Oman Shipping Company S.A.O.C. (OSC) announced the addition of the LPG Carrier GAS ELIXIR, built by Kanrei Shipbuilding Co of Japan, to its fleet. Built in 2011, the 5,000 CBM capacity vessel, with a 100m Length overall, 17.6m beam and draft of 8m, will be on time charter to Oman Trading International (OTI), taking Omani LPG to regional markets.

This vessel joins the 7,500 CBM GAS HUSKY as OSC’s 2nd vessel in the LPG segment, taking OSC’s fleet size to 44 vessels.

Later in the year a 3rd LPG Carrier, a sister to GAS HUSKY, will be added. Liberian flagged, GAS ELIXIR will be managed by Oman Ship Management Company S.A.O.C. (OSMC), which today manages 16 vessels from its headquarters in Muscat.
