OMM Bags Prysmian Extension

Offshore Marine Management (OMM), has signed a 2-year framework agreement extension with subsea cable specialist Prysmian.

The 2-year deal, which was agreed to supply a range of offshore support services to compliment Prysmian’s installation capability, was finalised in summer 2017.

The decision was madeto continue the relationship for a further 2 years, building on the support that OMM has provided Prysmian since 2015 across the European market place.

The long-term relationship has seen OMM utilise its new multi-mattress deployment system, MDS3 alongside additional subsea support, vessel management, tower support services, and cable storage.

John Lawton, director for OMM, said: “To finalise another agreement with Prysmian and with options to extend the services and entities it covers is a real testament to the work we do at OMM.

“We have an excellent track-record collaborating with Prysmian and we look forward to further developing the relationship over the coming years in support of their offshore operations. Our extensive experience in designing and providing appropriate support for such companies is a real strength of OMM.”

OMM has completed a number of projects, including: BorWin3 and CoBrA route clearance, Wikinger and DolWin3 platform operational works, multiple Vessel Management and Cable Storage services. The new Boulder Clearance project is due to commence in Q4 2017 in the West Adlergrunde cluster.
