One-stop shop for offshore industry formed in Den Helder

Several Dutch companies have teamed up to form Offshore Project Support (OPS) in order to offer a complete service to the offshore industry.

The joint venture company, created by Den Helder Support Service (DHSS), Den Helder Aircraft Systems (DHAS), Glomar Offshore, and GEOxyz, resulted in one team with multiple disciplines in-house.

A diverse fleet of vessels as well as ROVs, diving, drone, rope access and geotechnical inspection services, can be carried out by one company. The OPS JV also has an in-house ships agency, with warehousing services and helicopter logistics.

The vessel fleet has different purpose-built offshore support vessels, and its management has over 40 years of experience in a wide range of activities within the offshore services market.

Beside project logistics, OPS also provides helicopter services, 3PL warehousing, and freight forwarding services worldwide with several bases of operations.

For specialized inspections above water, OPS has a fully licensed, and Dutch government authorized, RPAS (drone) operation in place. The company operates various types of unmanned aircraft to collect data and imagery in live or captured formats.

The company can also offer hydrographic, geophysical & geotechnical surveys. Founding partner GEOxyz provides these services with more than 60 personnel and a fleet of dedicated survey vessels.

OPS Managing Director, Niels Noordeloos, said: “I strongly believe in cooperation and with this new cooperation it allows us to deliver our clients a complete package of service with the best solution.”

Wim Schouwenaar, CEO of DHSS and founding partner of OPS, said: “We believe that joint forces and shared knowledge of a wide range of services is one of the key elements to accelerate. By partnering in OPS, we have created a body which can operate at a highly qualified level against a very cost-effective rate.”
