Onshore Facilities of SP Phases 22-24 Nearing Completion

Onshore facilities of South Pars gas field phases 22-24 will come online gradually as of December 2012.

Farhad Izadjou operator of phases 22-24 told Shana construction of onshore facilities of the phases have made 69 percent progress adding some units will become operational as of December.

“Desalination unit, nitrogen unit, and 132 and 133 kilovolts electrical posts are the first units will become operational in December”, Izadjou said.

“Construction of those equipment taking more time is going on well and there is no concerns related to launching the project on schedule”, the official told Shana.

Referring to setting up four drilling rigs in the area, Izadjou noted that drilling of the first appraisal well of the phases completed in last June after doing 3300 meters of drilling by Sina drilling rig while the second well will be completed in next 30 days which will be followed by starting drilling the third well.

Offshore sector of 22-24 phases has progressed by 43 percent and drilling of 38 wells has been planned, the operator continued.

According to Izadjou installation of the first jacket is complete and the second jacket will be set up before the end of next month.

He said South Pars phases 22-24 gas output will stand at 12.5 million cubic meters per day upon the completion of development plan of the phases in 2014.
