Origin Energy Appoints Non-Executive Director

Origin Energy announced that Mr Bruce Morgan has been appointed to the Origin Board as an independent non-executive director. He will also become a member of the Audit, Risk and Nomination Committees.

Mr Morgan has been Chairman of the Board of the leading Audit firm PwC Australia since 2005 and in 2009 was elected as a member of the PwC Global Board. He has previously been Managing Partner of the firm’s Sydney and Brisbane Offices. He has been a partner of the firm for over 25 years, practising as an Audit partner focused on the Energy and Mining Sectors and Lead Auditor to the Brambles Group. Mr Morgan retired from PwC on 31 October 2012.

He is a Director of Sydney Water, the University of NSW Foundation and the European Australian Business Council. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Mr Morgan has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of NSW.
