Origin Energy names new BoD member

Origin Energy on Monday said Teresa Engelhard has joined the company’s board as an independent non-executive director.

Engelhard that has more than 20 years’ experience in the information, communication, technology and energy sectors as a senior executive and venture capitalist, also joins the remuneration and people committee, Origin added in its statement.

She started her career at McKinsey & Company in California spending over a decade in Silicon Valley before moving to Australian in 2006. More recently she has focused on emerging technology in the energy sector as a venture investor and board member. Teresa’s past directorships include Daintree Networks and Zen Ecosystems, Origin said.

Engelhard is also a non-executive director of RedBubble, Planet Innovation, StartupAUS, Redkite and is a member of Innovation and Science Australia’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme Committee.
