Peru sends two LNG cargoes to Mexico

Peru’s liquefied natural export terminal at Pampa Melchorita recently dispatched two cargoes to Mexico.

According to the shipping data released by the state-owned Perupetro, the 138 000 cbm Sestao Knutsen LNG carrier left the liquefaction plant on April 22.

The second vessel, Shell’s G class Gemmata LNG carrier with a capacity of 138,104 cbm, left the facility three days later on April 25.

Although Perupetro has not revealed the exact destination of the two cargoes, both are probably heading for the Manzanillo terminal in the Colima state.

With the two latest shipments, Peru’s 4.4 mtpa liquefaction plant dispatched 323 cargoes in total, since it began operations in June 2010.
