Peru ships 300th LNG cargo

Peru’s only liquefied natural gas export facility recently dispatched two cargoes to Mexico.

State-owned Perupetro reveals that the first cargo, loaded onboard the 155,000 cbm, 2013-built GasLog Santiago LNG carrier departed from the facility on December 5 and headed for Mexico’s Manzanillo terminal.

The second cargo was dispatched on December 10 onboard the 135,072 cbm Gallina LNG carrier and it is probably sailing to the same destination as GasLog Santiago.

Following the departure of the two latest vessels, Peru’s liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita reached a milestone with 300 cargoes dispatched since it started operations in June 2010.
