Peru ships LNG cargo to Mexico

The latest cargo to be loaded at Peru’s only LNG export plant in Pampa Melchorita has been dispatched to Mexico.

The 2013 built Gaslog Seattle, with a capacity of 155,000 cbm, left from the first natural gas liquefaction plant in South America on September 13, data from Peru’s state-owned firm Perupetro said.

Gaslog Seattle is probably sailing to the Manzanillo terminal in Colima state in Western Mexico.

Peru LNG shipped 283 cargoes from the US$3.8 billion plant since the start-up in June of 2010, according to the data.

The LNG plant has the capacity to produce 4.45 million tonnes of the chilled gas per year.
