Peru ships LNG cargo to South Korea

Peru’s liquefaction facility located at Pampa Melchorita has recently dispatched an LNG cargo to South Korea.

The cargo was loaded on December 19 onboard the 136 600 cbm LNG carrier Galea and sent on its way to South Korea, state-owned Perupetro reveals.

According to Perupetro’s data, this is 21st cargo dispatched to South Korea. It is also the first cargo dispatched since September 2013, when Castillo de Santisteban unloaded at Kogas’ Incheon LNG terminal.

With the latest cargo, Peru shipped a total of 302 cargoes of liquefied natural gas since its only liquefaction facility began operations in June 2010.
