Peru ships more LNG to Mexico

Peru’s only liquefaction plant at Pampa Melchorita has dispatched another cargo of LNG to Mexico.

According to Perupetro, the 173,600 cbm Castillo de Santisteban LNG carrier departed from Peru’s facility on January 16, with the exact destination of the vessel remaining unknown.

The latest cargo was the third shipment from Pampa Melchorita facility in January and 251st shipments sine its startup in June 2010.

The LNG plant, owned by Peru LNG, a company sponsored by Hunt Oil Company, SK Innovation, Shell and Marubeni, will be serviced by GE Oil & Gas in the next 13 years. GE Oil & Gas has recently been awarded a CSA through General Electric International Peru to support the Peru liquefied natural gas facility in Pampa Melchorita.
