Peru’s only natural gas liquefaction and export facility at Pampa Melchorita shipped a cargo to Mexico last week.

The cargo was loaded on board the 155,000-cbm LNG carrier Solaris, owned by GasLog, on October 21, data from the state-owned Perupetro shows.

The exact destination of the vessel has not been revealed, however, it is probably heading to Mexico’s Manzanillo LNG terminal in the Colima state.

Peru’s liquefaction and export facility exported five cargoes so far in October and this is the second to head for Mexico, following three cargoes shipped to Spain.  It is the fourth cargo Solaris picked up at the facility.

With the latest shipment, Peru’s 4.4 mtpa liquefaction plant dispatched 359 cargoes in total, since it began operations in June 2010.
