Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita shipped a cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Spain earlier this week.

According to the data provided by the state-owned Perupetro, the cargo was dispatched on April 5.

It was loaded aboard the GasLog-owned, 155,000-cbm GasLog Shanghai that set course for Spain, with Perupetro not revealing the exact destination of the vessel.

With the latest cargo, Peru’s LNG export facility shipped 391 vessels in total, since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
