Petrojarl Knarr Fire Contained, No Injuries

A fire broke out this morning on board the Petrojarl Knarr Floating Production Storage Offloading Vessel (FPSO) off Floro, Norway.

The production has been shut down and there has been no reported impact to the environment, BG Group said in a statement.

The incident was reported at approximately 01.45 hours this morning involving in a technical room.

” BG Group confirms that the situation on board the Petrojarl Knarr is under control following a small fire this morning,” the statement reads.

The BG Group incident response team, Teekay Petrojarl incident response team and relevant external authorities were mobilised to the site.

“All personnel are accounted for and there are no reported injuries,” the company said.

The 2014-built FPSO has 100 people on board.
