Petronas firms up contract award for mobile offshore production unit

Malaysian oilfield services provider Tanjung Offshore Services has won a contract from Petronas Carigali for the Bayan Redevelopment Project Gas Phase 2 in Sarawak, Malaysia.

T7 Global Berhad’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Tanjung Offshore Services, had on 25 November 2020 entered into a contract with Petronas Carigali in relation to the provision of leasing, operation and maintenance of mobile offshore production unit for the Bayan Redevelopment Project Gas Phase 2 (Bayan MOPU Project).

The phase two of the Bayan gas redevelopment in the Balingian PSC offshore Sarawak will entail drilling of four wells at the existing BYDP-C drilling platform.

The contract award follows the letter of award announced back in February 2020.

The effective date of the contract is 1 February 2020 for a time charter period of 10 years.
