PGNiG Sold 8.4 Bcm of Gas in H1

PGNiG SA of Poland said it has sold 8.4 billion cubic metres of gas in the first half of 2013, compared with 8 billion cubic metres in the corresponding period of the previous year. The volume of natural gas produced in H1 2013 totalled 2.25 billion cubic metres, having remained flat year on year.

The volume of gas sold in Q2 2013 was 3 billion cubic metres, similar to the previous year. Production also remained close to the Q2 2012 level, at 1.1 billion cubic metres.

In H1 2013, natural gas imports totalled 5.9 billion cubic metres, including 5.1 billion cubic metres sourced from countries east of Poland. In Q2 2013, the volume of gas imports was 2.5 billion cubic metres, including 2.3 billion from countries east of Poland.
