PHOTO: Ultra Deep Lays Keel for DSCV Andy Warhol


Singapore based Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) has held a keel laying ceremony for the multipurpose diving support and construction vessel ‘Andy Warhol’ at Wuchang Shipbuilding’s yard in China.

The DP2 vessel, of MT6023 design, will be equipped with an 18-men diving system for operations down to 300 meters water depth.

The Andy Warhol vessel, equipped with two heave compensated subsea cranes, one 150 ton offshore crane and one 20 ton offshore crane, has a length of 103.5 meters and a beam of 23 meters.

According to the company, the vessel is on schedule for delivery in Q2 2018, with the launch set for the end of 2017.

Following the delivery, the Andy Warhol will be fitted with a WROV and an OBS ROV.

The vessel will be capable to accommodate up to 120 personnel.
