PHOTO: Ultra Deep’s New Diving Vessel Set for July Launch

Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) is progressing with the construction of its new DP2 multipurpose diving support vessel (DSCV) Van Gogh at the China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) yard.

According to the company’s latest update, the launching of the ship is planned for the end of July 2017.

The vessel will be equipped with 18-men single bell saturation system for depth down to 300 meter.

Van Gogh has its own moonpool, an air diving system, and is fitted with one work-class and one observation remotely operated vehicle (ROV) with LARS.

The vessel is also equipped with diesel electric frequency controlled propulsion, highly efficient azimuth thrusters, dynamic positioning system and 150t offshore cranes.

According to the UDS website, Van Gogh will be capable to provide wellhead servicing, inspection and construction diving and ROV support.

The vessel can accommodate up to 120 personnel.
