Picture of the day: Methane Rita Andrea at QCLNG
At the end of last year, BG Group’s Queensland Curtis LNG project loaded its first LNG cargo aboard the 145,000 cbm Methane Rita Andrea.
The loading marked a milestone event in the industry as this was the first LNG cargo produced from coal seam gas. This event also marked the start-up of QCLNG’s facility.
The project will further expand with the start-up of QCLNG’s Train 2 in the third quarter of 2015 with full production capacity of 8 mtpa of LNG to be reached in 2016.
