Picture of the day: Petronas FLNG model

Wärtsilä posted a photo of the Petronas FLNG model which was showcased at the Offshore Korea 2014 conference.

The actual FLNG is being built at the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) shipyard in Okpo, South Korea.

The PFLNG1 vessel, also known as PFLNG SATU, will be moored in Malaysia’s Kanowit gas field, 180 kilometres offshore Sarawak and will produce 1.2 million tonnes of LNG per year.

Petronas has also this year reached the final investment decision for its second floating liquefied natural gas facility (PFLNG 2) project, to be located off the coast of Sabah in Malaysia.
