Savannah Shipping Channel Dredging.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, is responsible for maintenance dredging of the Savannah and Brunswick harbors.

The Corps routinely dredges sediment from the bottom of the river to ensure a safe, authorized depth for cargo ships to import and export goods.
