Pieridae Energy files for export permit with DOE

Pieridae Energy filed an application with the U.S. Department of Energy seeking to export up to 292 bcf of gas to Canada, for a 20 year period.

Imported gas would be liquefied at its proposed Goldboro LNG export terminal in Nova Scotia, Canada and then exported to FTA and Non-FTA countries.

The gas would also be used as a source od energy in the production of electricity required for the operation of the Goldboro LNG facility.

The period of 20 years would start with the first exports from the facility or seven years from the date requested authorization is granted, stands in the company’s filing.
