The operator contacted Police Scotland on Saturday, after an ‘unknown substance’ was discovered on the Piper Bravo oil platform.

In a statement sent to Offshore Energy Today, the company’s spokesperson said: ” In line with our company procedure, all personnel on board have undergone substance-testing by medics. As this matter is being dealt with by Police Scotland, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time. Talisman Sinopec Energy UK operates a zero tolerance approach to illegal substances.”

According to the Press and Journal, a number of wraps containing what is suspected to be cocaine has been discovered on the platform.
