PM: Poland could consider second LNG terminal

Polish prime minister Beata Szydlo said Poland could build a second liquefied natural gas terminal in its effort to increase energy security.

Speaking before the Polish parliament, Szydlo said that preserving coal as an energy source is part of the energy security ass well as the construction and expansion of the Swinoujscie LNG terminal, Reuters reports.

The prime minister added that Poland could also consider building a second LNG terminal.

The country’s first LNG terminal at port of Swinoujscie was cleared to begin the process of installation cool-down and start-up when it receives the first cargo from Qatar in December.
