Marine Projects' Marpro Shipyard Delivers Vessel Merweriver

On Tuesday the 1st of May Newbuilding 707 named Merweriver was delivered to its Dutch owner. The vessel, built and delivered at Marine Projects Ltd. Shipyard in Gdansk, is of the 4030 DWAT Bodewes Trader series.

Merweriver is a Multi Purpose Dry Cargo Ship equipped for Containers and Strengthened for Heavy Cargo, SOLAS II – 2 Reg. 19

Marpro Shipyard launched the vessel on the 24th of January in Poland.

Bodewes Shipyards BV is a leading modern shipyard group situated along the Winschoterdiep. Since the foundation in 1812 (almost 200 years ago), their activities have focused on the designing and building of ships and the contact with clients based on the principles of quality, reliability and flexibility. Next to building ships in Hoogezand, Bodewes started with the preparations to build hulls at a shipyard in Romania at the end of the 90’s. Three years later the first hull arrived at the yard in Hoogezand where she was outfitted into the high quality vessel that Bodewes is known for. Nowadays hulls are being built in the Ukraine and Poland as well as Romania. The hulls are outfitted at the yard in Hoogezand.
