PGNiG, Orlen Upstream Enter Deal for Shale Gas Equipment

PGNiG Technologie Sp.z o.o. (Naftomet Branch) has entered into another contract with Orlen Upstream for the supply of shale gas production equipment.

The contract, providing for the manufacture of six compact wellhead and christmas tree systems, will be performed in the coming months.

The compact system designed specifically to produce gas from shale formations was created in response to growing interest in surface gas field equipment adapted to this type of wells. The compact version of the equipment manufactured by the Naftomet Branch conforms to API Spec. 6A and meets the requirements to be classified as a “timesaving” system, enabling to shorten the time of drilling and installation work as much as possible and thus achieve significant cost savings. In addition, the equipment enhances the safety of operators.

The Naftomet Branch of PGNiG Technologie is a leading Polish manufacturer of crude oil and natural gas production equipment, particularly surface well facilities, as well as mine apparatuses and equipment.  The company holds an  API Spec. 6A certificate granted by the American Petroleum Institute. It confirms that products marked with the API monogram meet the stringent requirements set for oil and gas field production equipment operating in extreme conditions.
