Polarcus names ex-Maersk Drilling CCO as chief operating officer
Marine seismic player Polarcus has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO) effective immediately.
Polarcus said on Monday that Lars Oestergaard was named as the chief operating officer (COO) of the company where it will lead the geophysical, operations, and sales teams as well as the EHSQ department.
He was previously employed at Maersk Drilling where he held a number of operational and commercial roles, most recently as the chief commercial officer.
To remind, Ostergaard became Maersk Drilling’s CCO in February 2017. Prior to that, he was the asset manager in the company. Ostergaard joined the Maersk Group in 2005, where he held different leadership positions across the Maersk Group.
Polarcus added that Oestergaard was awarded 350,000 performance share units and 150,000 restricted share units under the company’s 2018 Long-Term Incentive Plan. He currently holds no shares in the company.
