Polish liquefied natural gas import facility, the President Lech Kaczyński terminal in Świnoujście, has received a new cargo over the past weekend.

Polish LNG terminal operator, Polskie LNG, said via social media that the 71st cargo delivery came to the facility onboard the Q-Flex tanker Al Bahiya capable of transporting up to 210,100 cubic meters of LNG.

The operator added that so far a total of 13.7 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas has been delivered to the terminal. The facility is also set to load its 6,000th truck tanker, Polskie LNG said in its statement.

The Polish LNG terminal in Świnoujście is the country’s flagship project to diversify gas supplies and reduce dependence on pipeline imports from Russia.

Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) is in charge of all the LNG supplies coming to the import terminal operated by Gaz-System’s unit Polskie LNG.
