Liquefied natural gas from the President Lech Kaczynski LNG terminal in the port city of Swinoujście started dispatching the chilled fuel to Estonia via tank trucks.

According to the statement by the Polish gas transmission operator, Gaz-System, the number of loading each day depends on the number of orders received.

With up to a dozen loadings taking place within a 12-hour period, the company noted that within the week up to a maximum of 15 trucks are dispatched to Estonia.

The loading takes an hour on average, the statement reads.

The LNG terminal in Swinoujście is designed to receive, regasify and supply of up to 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year to Polish transmission grid. There are plans on doubling the terminal’s capacity as well as adding LNG bunkering infrastructure.
