After much careful consultation, a large scale dredging project in South Australia’s hugely popular Port Macdonnell harbour can now get underway, making it safer, more accessible and more appealing for professionals, locals, and tourists alike.

Approximately 20,000 mof material is expected to be dredged as part of this project.

Organic materials dredged from the channel will be screened, drained and transported to the adjacent western beach.

Sand dredged from the harbor entrance will be deposited for replenishment of sandy beaches located east of the harbor area.

The dredging, set to begin in April, will help improve productivity for local businesses and the fishing industry.
