Portugal to Get LNG Cargo from Trinidad

Trinidad and Tobago’s Point Fortin terminal shipped a liquefied natural gas cargo on Monday to Portugal, shipping data reveals.

The cargo is being carried by the 138,200 cubic-meter British Innovator, and it is due to arrive at the Sines LNG import terminal, operated by REN Atlântico, on May 12.

The Sines terminal’s current send out capacity of natural gas into the transmission system is 16,2 Mm3/day (190 GWh/day) while also being able to load up to 3 000 tanker trucks per year of LNG (860 GWh/year), used to supply the satellite plants located in the areas of the country that can’t be reached by pipeline yet.
