Portuguese ENP Takes Delivery of New Floating Dock from Zaliv Shipyard

The works on construction of floating dock by the order of company Estaleiros Navais de Peniche SA (ENP) became principally new for JSC Shipyard Zaliv.

According to the words of sales/marketing director Mr. Y. Dovgiy works over this order coherently fitted with Zaliv’s diversification politics due to the fact that at present moment this kind of products is actual for world market of newbuildings.

According to agreements signed last year Zaliv should have built the floating dock (loa — 62 m, breadth — 26 m, total launching weight — 1200 tons) in extremely tight time-frame.

Yard fulfilled its obligations and provided construction of this order within four months. Not only hull works have been done during this period but also installation of systems of pipelines installing the closing devices, mounting of hull fittings and outfitting as well as the mooring device has been installed.

It worth mentioning that important factor contributing into completion of works keeping the contractual terms was the timely financing of the project that was undertaken by one of the main financial partners of the yard JSC Finance and Credit Bank.

Zaliv anticipates that successful completion of works on this project will allow both strengthen the partnership with Estaleiros Navais de Peniche SA and may become the start of new prospective direction in yard’s marketing strategy.
