Pöyry secures 5-year contract from Finland’s Gasum

Gasum and Pöyry said on Tuesday they have signed a five-year framework agreement for engineering and project implementation services to develop Gasum’s natural gas projects in Finland.

The agreement covers project management, HSE, procurement, engineering, document management and other related services.

Pöyry is one of three engineering companies that were awarded with the frame agreement after public procurement procedure, the two companies said in a joint statement.

Gasum imports natural gas to Finland, and delivers the fuel to customers in energy production, industry, homes, and land and maritime transport.

The company is also involved in the LNG business through its subsidiary Skangas.

Skangas has LNG terminals in Øra, Norway, and Lysekil, Sweden. Finland’s first LNG import terminal in Pori is expected to be completed in 2016.
