Prosafe Secures Contract Extensions for Its Rigs in Mexico

Prosafe, a Cyprus-based owner of accomodation rigs today announced that Mexico’s Cotemar Group has awarded Safe Britannia rig a 640-day contract until the end of 2014 and that the Jasminia contract has been extended to the end of October 2013.

The total value of the contract and extension is approximately USD 58.5 million. The rigs provide accommodation services to Mexico’s state-run oil company, PEMEX.

Mexico is one of the ten largest oil producers in the world, the third-largest in the Western Hemisphere.
