Prosafe’s Chairman of the Board quits

Prosafe SE has announced that its Chairman of the Board, Ronny Johan Langeland, has decided to resign, with effect from September 28, 2015.

Prosafe, an owner and operator of semi-submersible accommodation vessels, said in its announcement on Tuesday that Langeland had resigned solely due to health reasons.

The company headquartered in Cyprus said its Board would convene an extraordinary general meeting on October 23 to elect a new director as Chairman.

According to Prosafe, the Election Committee has notified the Board that it recommends Harald Espedal as a replacement for Langeland. Deputy Chairman Christian Brinch will act as Chairman until a new Chairman is elected, the company has said.

Langeland has been a Director of the Board of Prosafe since 2002 and Chairman since May 2014.

“Prosafe would like to express its gratitude to Mr Langeland for his significant contributions during his term of office as Director and Chairman,” the company said in its announcement.
