PSA Norway Grants AoC to OSM Offshore for Haven Jack-up Facility

On 26 July 2011, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) granted an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) to the Haven mobile living quarters facility operated by OSM Offshore AS (OSM).

Haven is a jack-up facility, delivered in 2010 by Drydocks World, Graha Shipyard in Indonesia.

Haven has 447 single cabins and is currently the largest jack-up living quarters facility operating in the North Sea. The facility will be used on Ekofisk for a three-year period.

It is the assessment of the PSA that petroleum activity can be carried out with the Haven facility within the regulatory framework.

The decision is based on the information provided in the AoC application regarding the facility’s technical condition and the applicant’s organisation and management system, as well as verifications and other case processing carried out by the authorities.

The validity of this AoC is contingent upon OSM ensuring that the facility, and relevant parts of the company’s organisation and management system, are maintained such that conditions and assumptions in the PSA’s decision are safeguarded.
