PTTEP of Thailand to Finalise Cove Acquisition in October

PTTEP of Thailand said today that it expects its wholly owned unit PTTEP Africa Investment finalise the takeover of Cove Energy on October 5.

“As at the close of September 17, PTTEP AI held 98.88 % of shares in Cove. Unless a court orders otherwise, PTTEP AI will hold 100% of Cove shares on October 5, 2012, the end of the compulsory acquisition process,” the company said in a statement.

“On September 18, 2012, the London Stock Exchange announced the cancellation of admission to trading of Cove’s shares on AIM,” the compnay added.
