Q-Flex heading for South Hook LNG terminal

The South Hook LNG terminal on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is set to receive more Qatari chilled fuel next week. 

The 216,312 cubic meters Q-Flex LNG carrier Mesaimeer, owned and managed by Nakilat, is scheduled to dock at the South Hook terminal on April 11, shipping data from the Milford Haven Port Authority shows.

It will be the second LNG cargo to unload at the terminal within a few days’ period as the 210,000-cbm Al Ghariya Q-Flex carrier is set to unload its cargo on April 8.

Mesaimeer, chartered by Qatargas, was built in South Korea by Hyundai Heavy Industries was delivered in March 2009.

Gas supply from the South Hook terminal was about 31.50 mcm/day during April 5, according to the latest data by National Grid.

The South Hook terminal owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
