Qatar and China Discuss Energy Cooperation

Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar, held talks with Xu Shaoshi, the Chairman of the National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People’s Republic of China.

The talks were held during a working dinner held in honor of  Al-Sada and the accompanying delegation, and it covered cooperation between Qatar and China in the energy and industry sector, as well as other topics of mutual interest

The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to China Sultan bin Salmeen Al-Mansouri, and by senior officials of Qatar Petroleum, Qatargas and Qatar Petroleum International.

Al-Sada had earlier held discussions with Wu Xinxiong, Vice Chairman of the National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Director of the National Energy Administration on a number of energy related issues of interest to both sides, particularly that Qatar is China’s main provider of liquefied natural gas.
