Qatar Petroleum’s president and CEO Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi held talks on energy cooperation with Pakistan’s prime minister Imran Khan.

The parties discussed Qatar Petroleum’s portfolio and activities as well as its interest in investing in Pakistan.

The focus has been placed on Qatar Petroleum’s capability of meeting Pakistan’s demand for energy and liquefied natural gas.

Qatar Petroleum sees Pakistan as a “promising energy market.”

The company recently unveiled its plans to increase the scale of the expansion of its LNG production capacity from 100 to 110 million tons per year.

When the expansion is complete, Qatar’s production capacity would be increased by 43 percent from the current 77 mtpa.
