Qatargas to Attend and Exhibit at Gastech 2011 in Amsterdam (The Netherlands)

 

Qatargas, the world’s largest LNG producer, is attending and exhibiting, on the Qatar Petroleum stand, at the 25th GASTECH Conference & Exhibition in Amsterdam, one of the premier platforms in the global gas calendar (21-24 March 2011).

The high-level delegation from Qatargas will be led by its Chief Executive Officer, Khalid Bin Khalifa Al Thani, and will include Qatargas senior officials. At the opening ceremony on day one (21 March), the Qatargas CEO will deliver a key-note address as part of the Gas Leadership Panel, which will focus on the theme: “The Role of Gas in the Future Energy Mix.”

Alaa Abu Jbara, Chief Operating Officer – Commercial and Shipping, will present a paper titled “Marketing and Managing 42 MMTA (million metric tonnes per annum) of LNG in a global LNG Market” in a commercial session on Global LNG Market Outlook during the opening day. This will be followed on the second day (22 March) by a technical paper presented on the “Success and Challenges of the operation of the AP X Liquefaction unit” in a commercial session on Natural Gas and LNG Projects by Qatargas’s Dean King, Engineering Manager.

Using GASTECH as one of the premier gas industry platforms, Qatargas will launch, its World Gas Conference (WGC) 2018 Bid Campaign.

On Day three (23 March) Qatargas’ fleet of state-of-the-art LNG vessels will be given global recognition by the presentation to Qatargas’ Chief Operating Officer, Administration, Ghanim Al-Kuwari, of the Green Award – this recognition will ‘kick off’ the Green Award Foundation’s Global Certification Scheme for LNG Carriers, an initiative which promotes safe and environmentally responsible shipping.

In addition to this Qatargas will showcase its offshore and onshore facilities, its fleet of LNG carriers and downstream projects. A specially-designed Touch Screen will provide comprehensive information on Qatargas facilities to the visitors and for the second time at GASTECH, Qatargas will be sponsoring the Cyber Corner providing all delegates with the complimentary use of the ‘internet zone’ at the exhibition.
