Qatari LNG Heads for Belgium

The Al Marrouna LNG tanker

The Al Marrouna LNG tanker, with a capacity of 151,700 cubic meters, is expected to arrive at Belgium’s Zeebrugge LNG terminal from Qatar on March 29, port data shows.

The Port of Zeebrugge recently said that the terminal’s LNG volumes fell down 21.5 percent in 2013, compared to the year before. 58 LNG ships resulted in a volume of 3.3 million tonnes of LNG.

The low supply of LNG is a consequence of the high demand for LNG on the Asian energy market, according to the Port of Zeebrugge.
