Ramboll to Present at 13th North Sea Decommissioning Conference

Søren Knudsen and Kathrine Helen Sundeng from Ramboll’s environmental team in Stavanger, Norway, will give a presentation at the 13th Norwegian Petroleum Society (NPF) North Sea Decommissioning Conference.

The conference will be held on 11-23 February 2013 in Bergen, Norway. The main themes for the conference include an update on activities and plans within decommissioning of oil / gas installations and experience with the risks and challenges related to decommissioning projects.

Søren Knudsen and Kathrine Helen Sundeng have been chosen as keynote speakers based on a report they prepared for Offshore Center Denmark, which describes the typical environmental concerns in relation to decommissioning projects. The presentation will focus on decommissioning of production facilities and cover typical waste and harmful chemicals generated during the decommissioning phases.

Knudsen is Team and Project Manager at the Ramboll Oil & Gas Stavanger office. Kathrine Helen Sundeng is Environmental Engineer – also in Stavanger.
