Ramco Crusader Sinks After Fire Incident Off Brazil

Petrobras, a Brazilian energy company, announces that the M/V Ramco Crusader, which caught fire on August 12, has sunk.

The Company informs that the fire started at around 3pm in the engine room after which the crew of 15 workers was safely moved from the vessel.

Following the evacuation of the crew, Ramco Crusader went adrift for about 45 km before sinking off the coast of Beberibe.

No leaks from the vessel were found.

M/V Ramco Crusader, owned by Vestland Marine, was working as a support vessel in the Potiguar Basin, off the coast of the State of Ceará, Brazil.
