Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore to Supply Integrated Bridge, Navigation System for New PSV

Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore Pte Ltd. has been awarded a contract for the supply of an Integrated Bridge and Navigation System to a new Platform Supply Ship (PSV) built at Nam Cheong Dockyard of Malaysia. The delivery will take place Q3 2012.

The 79 meters long, DNV classed vessel will be equipped with a Raytheon Anschütz Integrated Bridge System, projected and supplied by Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore.

At Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore we have built up excellence in tailoring solutions to the particular needs of Asian shipbuilding, from standard navigation systems to advanced configurations. The bridge system for the new PSV is an excellent proof of our capabilities in project engineering, assembly and testing, says Jan Lötzsch, Managing Director of Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore.

Earlier in 2011, Raytheon Anschuetz Singapore has already delivered Integrated Bridge Systems to new AHTS and Offshore Support Vessels at Malaysian shipyards.

The scope of supply for the new PSV covers four navigation workstations for the front bridge, which feature the functions of radar, chart radar, ECDIS, and a customized conning. The ECDIS is enhanced with a radar video overlay for advanced situation awareness and collision avoidance. For aft bridge operations, a fully operational conning workstation will be delivered.

For the ship’s steering system, the adaptive autopilot NP2035 is supplied, which forms together with ECDIS an approved track control system. Furthermore, a package of navigation sensors including a redundant Standard 22 gyro compass system is delivered, which provides all relevant information through the Ethernet navigation network to the bridge workstations. The scope is completed by fully equipped radio communication systems for GMDSS sea area A3.
