Regina Adds a Handysize

Japan’s Regina Bulkship SA, a 51% owned subsidiary of Uni-Asia Shipping, has taken delivery of a 37,000 dwt newbuilding handysize bulk carrier built by Imabari Shipbuilding.

Regina immediately time chartered the vessel out to Pacific Basin. The vessel is on charter for a period of five years, with an option for extension.

Regina entered into a loan agreement with Mega International Commercial Bank for a term loan facility to finance the purchase, under which USD 17.76 million was drawn down on February 6 in connection with the delivery of the vessel.
