Regulator probes Shell in Norway

On March 6, 2015, the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway carried out an audit of Norske Shell’s non-conformity handling.

The objective of the audit was to follow up on the requirements which entail that the companies must work systematically to detect regulatory non-conformities and that the companies must have a system for handling them.

The result of the audit showed that one error was identified in connection with the systematisation of non-conformity handling.

In addition, an improvement point was identified in connection with lifeboats.

PSA says that Norske Shell has been given a deadline of June 22, 2015 to report on how the non-conformity and improvement point will be dealt with.
